What a “Great” evening Hosted by Project Angel Food and Brooks Brothers for a private screening of The Great Gatsby. After the screening all guests were invited to the Brooks Brothers on Rodeo drive for drinks and food provided by Epicurean Events Los Angeles. F. Scott Fitzgerald was not only one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century but was also a loyal customer to Brooks Brothers as well. When designing all the clothes you see in Baz Luhrmann’s Gatsby, costume designer Catherine Martin teamed up with Brooks Brothers to recreate this beautiful era in fashion. They still have records of what clothes Fitzgerald bought from Brooks Brothers during that time period and used those specific styles to recreate the suits you see worn by Leonardo Dicaprio and Tobey Maguire in the film.
To Keep the theme rolling our bar served classic cocktails, such as Blood Orange Manhattans and a Ginger Fizzes. Executive Chef Joe Melillo kept it classy too with a menu that was timeless and unforgettable. With petit beef wellingtons and lemon caper salmon that just melted on your fork, there was not an empty mouth. Yukon gold potato cakes topped with Gorgonzola crumble, braised artichokes with a sherry gastrique, grilled asparagus with hollandaise sauce and you can’t forget about our traditional Caesar salad tossed on the spot by our Chef Max. With delicious food, refreshing drinks and classy fashion, you could imagine that Gatsby himself had something to do with this swanky soiree.

What a pleasure it was to cater a second year in a row for Fox’s The New Girl starring Zoe Deschanel. It was a full house at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences , to watch a an episode of the hit show followed by a Q and A with the entire cast. Afterwards all the guest enjoyed appetizers designed by our executive Chef Joe Melillo. We would also like to send a shout out to one of our outstanding employees Chris Wallinger who was actual cast with a guest star roll on The New Girl. Not only is he one of our great servers but an outstanding actor as well. We at EELA wish him the best of luck in his ventures and cant wait to see what he does next.

If 65 years of marriage doesn’t say true love I don’t know what does. We had the opportunity to work with the wonderful team of Style Firm out of Beverly Hills for this beautiful event. They are a full service boutique company specializing in event and fashion production. Its always great to have these opportunities with some of the most professional, efficient and creative people you could ever work with. We look forward to more and more amazing events with them in the future.
When you have the chance to celebrate such a momentous milestone, nothing is too small to make a memorable evening. Serving a five course meal designed by our Chef Joe Melillo, wine paring, specialty cocktail and a Frank Sinatra singer to top it off we definitely can say that everyone in attendance had an unforgettable time. Thank you to Metro PCS for choosing us to cater your spectacular event at The Belasco this weekend. The slider station was a hit! With beef, turkey and vegetarian sliders every condiment you can think of and sweet potato fries to top it off , I’m surprised we didn’t run out. It must have been the southwestern crab cakes or the curried shrimp and the Vietnamese braised short rib tostadas that our wonderful servers were passing around. You know you are doing well when celebrity guest Chuck Lidell of the UFC can scarf down a plate of sliders and still ask for more. We hope to see you next year!

What an early morning at The Belasco. Epicurean Events gave a wonderful breakfast spread for the announcement of the Latin Grammy nominees for 2012. We served greek yogurt and granola parfait, minted fruit salad, an assortment of bagels and danish, freshly squeezed orange juice, cranberry juice and gourmet coffee and tea to keep everyone’s eyes open and all those talented singers throats coated. Congrats to all the Nominees and soon to be winners we look forward to serving your next event.

Thank you to Perfect Party Planners! It was such a pleasure to serve breakfast for Siedah Garrett and 25 esteemed guests who were taken on a tour of Westlake Recording Studios to see where Michael Jackson himself recorded the albums “Bad”. It is also happens to be where Michael recorded the great hit “Man in the Mirror” which was written by Siedah Garrett. It was a magical day for those 25 diehard fans that got to personally see how “Man in the Mirror” was recorded and listen to Siedah herself sing the classic chart topping hit for these lucky guests. Here is picture of Michael’s platinum and gold albums that were on display.

This was such a great party to work for. Mary celebrated her birthday with fifty of her closest friends and they all enjoyed it in her beautiful three level backyard, full bar service, a DJ and she even brought out the dance floor. Epicurean supplied the appetizers and taco bar, which seemed to be the hit off the evening. Here are some pics to give you an idea of what awesome nibbles we had for Mary’s birthday soiree.

Thanks to everyone at Fox for taking us on to serve the New Tuesday comedy line-up. With over 600 people lined up to get a sneak peak of The Mindy Project, The New girl, Ben and Kate and Raising Hope. After the Q & A a hundred special guests joined the after party where they enjoyed some of Epicurean’s tasty apps, such as spicy vegetable dumplings with a sesame miso drizzle, tea smoked chicken with asian greens on a brown rice cake, mini waffle and chicken tender with a peach horseradish maple syrup, plus a pulled pork and pear chutney tostada with slaw topped with black bean relish just to name a few. For dessert we set up a fried ice cream station where you could get your favorite ice cream Snicker, Twix and Reese’s bars fried right in front of you. YUM!
Congratulations to Fox and to Tuesday’s new comedy Line-up, wish you the best season and seasons to come!
